Exhilaration is the Breeze
That lifts us from the Ground
And leaves us in another place
Whose statement is not found—
Returns us not, but after time
We soberly descend
A little newer for the term
Upon Enchanted Ground—
~ Exhilaration is the Breeze by Emily Dickinson
A wonderful image of the simple beauty that is around us when we take time to look. Exhilaration can come from even a lowly dandelion. Ask any poet, or any child, they will tell you that.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful processing! I like the colors blue, light, seems to be swaying in the wind! A hug!

I think we're gonna have to find a way to bottle some of your creations, because like the best wine, you just keep getting better and better with time... And we're going to want to keep savouring them for years to come ! With exhilaration...
ReplyDeleteExcellent and clear photo. Outstanding colors.
ReplyDeletePerfect visual for the Emily Dickinson poem.
Isn't the word "Exhilaration" a great word?
Stunning image! Not only the subject is beautiful but also the colours are just brilliant. Well done!

Positively hums with life!
ReplyDeleteThis point of view makes me want to be a grasshopper, or a cricket, or an ant. To wander about close to the earth in a lush forest of wild grasses. I would not like to come back as a 13 year locust, though...those guys are too radical for me!
ReplyDeleteExcelent, the colors are really nice
ReplyDeleteMagic blue moment...I can stay there and let the dream carry me away., .. a country where the breeze caressing dreams..
ReplyDeleteFor tonight I stay there, without words..just enjoy the simple beauty..
Thank you dear Friend ...:o)
Like a new love that picks you up, takes you saling on a breeze, eventually to let you down on firmer ground but still enchanted... I liie to imagine Emily Dickinson walking through this glorious alfalfa field in hues of blue and teal, exhilarated in private thoughts of love.
ReplyDeleteYour photo tells the story and your title confirms it. This is truly fine art!
ReplyDeleteWe spent a couple of nights in Cape May. The weather was mild but cloudy and there was hardly anyone there. It was wonderfully peaceful.
It was our first time to see the Atlantic Ocean(except from an airplane). While I was walking on the Wildwood boardwalk I was imagining how fun it would be for kids during the summer, especially at night.
How beautiful this is , in words and image, I love all, the colour is magnificent!
ReplyDeleteOh my ... I want to get lost in this image!
ReplyDeleteThis is dreamier than dreamy. It is a dream!
ReplyDeleteso lovely... it makes me think of a summer night in the fields... and remember i had an old photo like this, in the same dark blue hues...
ReplyDeletei'll try to dig it up for you - which i wanted to post with the lines of another woman poet, what a coincidence, H.D. in my case - i don't know why it never came to that...
