Hi Stickup! Interesting shot of the sun setting behind the very large saguaros growing in the sidewalk with a strip mall right on top of them! Your label "a sign of the times" really hits the mark! It seems there was plenty of empty space in all four directions for that shopping center! However, the sidewalk saguaros seem to be thriving...
I have never seen such a sight. Unreal! The golden tone of the light that's happening is beautiful. I can't tell you how much these pictures prickle my interest (and tickle my funny bone).
hello dearest..:o) wonderful strong specimens,in a specialy wonderful golden light... california dreams..:o) i love the barber shop not so far...for cactus maybe..? i'm stupid excuse me..:o) hairy kisses...:o)
Imagine a guy with loooong hair going to that barber but he walks too close to those Saguaros, autch! I didn't know they are called Saguaros; for me they are just cactuses! :) So much to learn in this world!
I usually don't like things even, I like disorder or uneven. But I prefer the pic with the door to the barber shop smack dab in the the middle of the cactus with the barber pole in the middle of the door. These look like very old Saguaros. And they are both standing up straight and tall and proud.
LOVE these! (both the Saguaros and the photos).
ReplyDeleteWhere are they?
Those are so cool!
ReplyDeleteMy Frencher Half and I went to (both of) the Saguaro National Monument(s)--there are 2 sides--just to make the loop(s) and stare at the cacti.
I love the juxtaposition of the concrete, the stucco, and the chubby, prickly warriors. Reminds me of the road East.
Fabulous! I love the whole scenery...
ReplyDeleteOooh, I love it when you cact us !!!

ReplyDeleteThese are some of the most beautiful Saguaros I've seen and you have captured them under the most wonderful light. Great shots!
