Oh, these are wonderful! And the first fruits of your proximity to the sea, I suppose. I am in awe!
I love sunsets and sunrises. You should post those gorgeous photos on Facebook. Check out"Sunsets an sunrises from all over the world".
Lots of water in them there clouds. The setting red sun defies the clouds to dump their water and douse its fire out.beautiful Stickup!
Yes, make that ocean work for you. (You did. You will). I'm struck by your excellent evasion of cliche in a subject that invites cliche. You've got a great sky, of course, but you're also wise enough to catch the sunset when it's a thin orange line on the horizon, which makes it more dramatic and more unusual (as in original). I like these a lot!
Okay, now I miss the ocean again. :-( So I'll have to get my fix from your amazing photos. Seriously these are fantastic shots!
Gorgeous series of photos!
What a beautiful and unusual sunset. I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like it, with the bright streak of red under the clouds.
Amazing orange line on the horizon! Fabulous shots.
Heavy sky and leaden sea sandwiching the sultry sun. Only in California! A week has passed and hopefully you have received that much needed rain...
Gathering above the raising tideFar out beyond the advancing surgeA crimson line marks the divideWhere storm clouds and the ocean converge. The evening sky looks like molten leadFar too dark and heavy to remainHushed and hovering overheadAnd yet, still not a drop of rain.
GORGEOUS! Love these photos. Welcome to the coast.
That last bit of diminishing light is a mysterious, and dare I say spiritual moment for me. Right before the poof! It's almost as if all around you come to a stop and become still - just for that singular moment.
Hope you enjoy your new place, and I look forward to seeing pics from around the new area. We are enjoying rain each day out here this week. It is raining right now as a matter of fact.
that thin red line goes right through my heart.
