Really great photo! It took me a minute to see the other guy diving under the wave. Judging by the size of the wave, I guessing you took this at the Wedge, right? Oh man, I've had my butt kicked there more than once...
Superb catch of his position and expression, excellent detail on the water drops, interesting and appealing green in the ocean, nice sense of the tube under the wave, and the second human to the right is a nice move against any claim that the elements are overly perfect, overly balanced. Really, really nice shot, Stickup.
The look on his face says it all. I don't remember enjoying any sport or activity as a young person, so this is truly special. Your photo shows the ocean water clear and clean. You could sell this as an ad for CA tourist promotion.
There is a town called Wahoo a few miles from me, in fact, it was one of the towns I investigated while in CA planning to move to NE.
I do not even know how I ended up here, but I thought this post was good. I don't know who you are but certainly you're going to a famous blogger if you are not already ;) Cheers!
