Now that's January as I know it (minus mountains). That barren, scraggly tree in 1 and 3 is an aching old person for sure--mocked, perhaps, by the patch of bright white to its right. I find the dark and dismal grand for a day or two, but it can quickly become too much of a good thing for me, especially if I need to travel.
