  3. I believe it was Einstein who said "we must free ourselves by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature and its beauty." Your compositions help us do just that. Thanks Stickup. You have an amazing gift.

  4. This was what I was waiting for..the jellys. You should see how gorgeous they are on my state of the art iMac 27" Lion! (bragging rights - god knows in the world of digital I won't have them for long)

These are exquisite and I love how you switch from gold to silver and back again. A real glittery pop for the retina. Diaphanous - thats the word equivalent. Now I'm going to go back and just sink down into these beauties.

  5. I'm back for another look. Captivated. I am so glad you took these shots! Some time ago, I was at Morro Bay...where that big rock is sticking up? And the sand was loaded with jellyfish that washed up. They were stranded and destined to die before the tide came in again. They were beautiful even then, with the setting sun shining through them. I'll never forget that.

I learned that the Lion's Mane jelly fish in the arctic is over seven feet in diameter across its head or bell. And it has tentacles 120 feet long. Your photos remind me of these thoughts and memories. Incredible!

  7. Medusas, arch and poison-filled, are best viewed in the relative safety of a salon, with faux leather couches and gaggles of runny-nosed children pressing gleeful faces against room-sized sheets of glass.

  14. Holy cow, it's like you were in the tank with them... hope they didn't sting much... amazing how creatures so beautiful can be so poisonous... certain varieties anyway.

Ran into one in the water on a beach in Guadeloupe, Caribbean, had a mark on my arm for weeks afterwards where it touched me. So incredibly graceful though. Lovely photos...
