  2. Ooooh, how utterly beautiful.
When photography teachers tell you to favor sunset and sunrise for more dramatic landscapes pictures I have to disagree. There's a case for high noon images - the strong light adds majesty and power.

Are the yellow patches just dried grass or are they wild flowers ?

Your choice of photos is superb.

  3. I got goosebumps looking at these exquisite images just now. The second one is a shot for the ages...really, if that picture was the last thing I saw in this life I would be okay -- if the actual place was the last thing I saw in this life then I would know I had already reached heaven.

  4. Actually astonishingly beautiful. Looking at these landscapes puts me in some kind of cosmic time warp!! I feel like one infinitely small and brief blip of life. (I don't find that thought depressing, but rather an important realization, an enriching of the moments of my life.) Thank you, I feel like these scenes offer a meditation; a response I often feel inside when contemplating your photos!

  16. Wow! I just looked at your Barstow posts and I'm amazed! When I was driving through the Mojave and Barstow last week I was thinking of you. I thought you could capture the beauty of the area and I was right. I'm glad that I didn't take any pictures because they would look terrible after seeing these.
