Incredible. A cutaneous wonder. And since we are witnessing Death Valley, I venture to say that we are talking about dry, cracked skin. Still, the earth's crust is more beautiful than the most brilliant and revered stroke of a Renaissance master's brush (and the sky is not too shabby either).
the death valley photos….. I recently went through my fathers kodachrome slides and found several slides of Death Valley; same location. Your photos have the vividness of the old kodachrome when it keeps true to the colors. I've still yet to visit DV but when I do this will be the area I go to.
You've made it feel very real, right around the corner. But you haven't made me want to go there. Scenes like these usually rouse my awe at the European-American pioneers and their Native American predecessors. I feel put upon when I have to change the battery in the TV clicker.
My adventures in Death Valley did not bring to light the beauty there as you have found through your lens. I did indeed always appreciate the peace there but I have to thank you for showing me how to go beyond my limited sight.
GORGEOUS!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful place and your photos of it are amazing.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful, very painterly! It amazes me that people travelled across it during the Gold Rush in wagons and horseback.
