A giant brain...
What a magical picture!!
That's pretty terrific, the sort of surrealistic flow-jumble of curves and grooves in the central object highlighted by smoother ovals and straight-line sticks in the background. And I agree with the previous two visitors--the suggestion of a giant, magical brain, though I don't think that's the only possible conclusion. B&W was a brilliant choice too. For these subjects, it's weirder than color, and weird is at least part of what the scene is going for.
Very creative! The swirling texture of the rock reminds me of van Gogh but without the colors.
Indeed it appears as though the rock and roots were heavily pressed merging together as described by the words from Goethe. I'm amazed again by your eye and your ability to find just the right quote. The monochromatic image heightens the patterns causing me to wonder what could cause its formation.
Fabulous effects! What a great image this is.
This should be in a children's adventure book. Wonderful image. What a good eye.
Very surreal! I feel as if someone slipped some LSD into my coffee. I have no idea how you did this, but the effect is amazing.
Fabulous find!! Well photographes (as usual). :-)
I like how the background brush, twigs etc appear, but the rock itself makes me nervous. Less like rock and more like sinew
Rock or vitreous eye lost in the battle of the cyclops?
I have no words to express my feelings . . .
