Ah, you heard our desperate, spontaneous and uncoordinated plea and returned with a Christmas polaroid--together with perceptively hopeful words. Allow me to offer my best and sincerest wishes of the season. I too embrace the peace, joy, and love of the Mojave.
"The approach of Christmas brings harrassment and dread to many excellent people. They have to buy a cart-load of presents, and they never know what to buy to hit the various tastes; they put in three weeks of hard and anxious work, and when Christmas morning comes they are so dissatisfied with the result, and so disappointed that they want to sit down and cry. Then they give thanks that Christmas comes but once a year." - Mark Twain (Following the Equator)
Personally, I rather spend the holiday season with you in the Mojave taking photos . . .
oh this is too sweet!!! and i so love your polaroid effects...
i would like to thank you from my deepest heart for the tender words you've left on the Bridge, they have filled my soul with joy - they came to a perfect time, when i needed such encouragement badly. you have made everything i do there appear meaningful again. i don't know how to thank you for that, it is a blessing to know you.
Dear Stick Up... am late, but still dropping in to blogland from time to time, and wouldn't miss yours for the world. Saw where you said over at James Something Sighted you'd like to fly over to spend some time behind a Paris window. I hope you can one day, I hope you can, if that is what you are dreaming of. I dreamed the dream for a long time before it finally happened.
Just be sure to give a shout before you come, so we can plan for it... it would be delightful to meet you and show you some of the parasites.... errrrr, Paris sights ! :-) Happy holidays !!!
Cool shot! Happy Christmas to you too. All the best.
ReplyDeleteThat really is a cool photo! Merry Christmas!
