Wedding Crasher

Not intended for commercial purposes or use.

With the price of gas increasing almost daily, I'll be sticking close to home to practice my photography. Not that my little excursions ever went very far afield, but my physical range is a bit more limited now. These shots were taken while passing a pleasant afternoon at a nearby public park; a hint of spring and the promise of new beginnings in the air.

  1. You mean they didn't hire you to do the wedding shoot ? What's the matter with those folks ??? They don't know what they're missing.

  6. A pattern forms in the bodies of the geese, in the ripples of the water, in the budding branches of the trees, and in the universal expression of love. You've captured it all, the rhythm of harmony.

  8. Yes, feeling the gas crunch here too. When oil goes up, the cost of virtually everything goes up.

As far as sticking close to home, all I can say is that you could take a picture of a blank wall and I would see it anew. You're an artist.

    I love the feathers.

  10. What a cute couple, young newlyweds. This will be a nice challenge for you to step out closer to home and find shots through your photographer's eye.
We don't even use the car much anymore, so funny after all the years of travel and traffic. I look forward to seeing what you discover.

  13. You don't need to go far to show us awesome images. These are absolutely gorgeous in b&w. The softness feeling on the third shot is amazing.

Truck companies have just started a strike today here, they simply can't afford new fuel prices. This is crazy!

  16. The gentle play of shadow and light is lovely in each photo here. The rhythms set up by the patterns of the feathers, the branches, the fence posts of the wedding shot, the background behind the ducks (geese?)...gently overlaid with a subtle texturization, all contribute to a feeling of serenity.
New challenges are great, anywhere we can find them. New ways of seeing what we might otherwise take for granted. Isn't that what much of photography is about?

  18. Hello Stickup ...: o)
There is no need to go far from home to make beautiful pictures .. I sometimes find my happiness in a square meter garden ..:o)
And I found beautiful these photos, like an interlude in the violence of what is happening right now ... As if love and beauty could for once be the only winners..
    i kiss you..:o)
